The Hatred Boutique

The mindset starts early. Get 'em while they're young. Stick a picture of Jeb Stuart on the wall......'the South will rise again'. Take two trees and make a cross.
Burn it.
Have a look at this chilling photo-essay from Mother Jones.
It's something to turn the blood cold. I've heard more racist remarks, more hatred disguised as humor since the election of November 4th, and it's absolutely critical to keep the awareness of that sort of poison in the forefront, before the treacherous stuff becomes just another part of the landscape.
We need to be vigilant.
All over America, there are crazy-assed "Ms. Ruth's" out there, praising Jesus and stitching up sheets-- clinging to their backasswards view of the righteousness of their cause.
The only way to combat prejudice is to prove it wrong.
America is made of Latinos - Blacks - Whites - Native Americans -- offspring of every nation on earth -- and I prefer the term 'United States' because there's not much left of the term 'America' that hasn't been sullied, especially in these last eight years, and moreso now - as the hatemongers are acting out at their ugliest. (And don't think the Republicans aren't using that to their advantage....it's why the southern states vote RED...it's part and parcel of the old machine that's been so recently ground to a halt) and BELIEVE ME, those folks are PISSED OFF!
Be vigilant.
Be careful out there..... but do not suffer fools...not one spoonful of their brainwashed pap. Call 'em out. Do it loudly and consistently, and by damned, we'll eventually become more than we've ever been before. Certainly more loving and all-inclusive- and that really taps their beer barrels, doesn't it? When there's social strata there's always a bottom rung, so folks work real hard not to be it.
Bullshit. No strata. Open arms, open minds......open hearts, folks. That's what this election has been about. Do your part to bring hope to its fruition, and do not suffer the fools one iota. Do not laugh at a joke that's offensive. Do not forward emails that reek of racism. Look at that picture above, because that's how it starts, folks... in small ways, deadly to the spirit.
Remember the song "Happy Talk" from the musical ' South Pacific'..."you have to be carefully taught"?
Help the unlearning.
