Halloween .....and Its 'Haters'
What would you call this type of Christian theatrics?
No...... that would appall the Prince of Peace. Believe me, he would take his cat-o-nine-tails to this kind of mean-spirited, 'fear-as-salvation' type of gory and upsetting shock theater.
What is wrong with these people? I'm still pissed off from years ago when my own children were small, and one Charismatic family in the school raised such a fuss about Halloween that we had to change our annual Halloween costume party to a bland and sanctimonious 'Fall Festival' in which only Raggety Ann costumes and Little Orphan Annie types were allowed: nothing even marginally demonic....nothing that Satan would approve of.........
give me a fricking break!
Well, here's a News Flash for that family and its MANY, MANY children who hid in their basement no doubt praying the rosary and speaking in tongues every All Hallow's Eve with the lights out (no kidding) cowering in fright.........and the current assemblers all over the U.S. who put together versions of this propagandist Grande Guiginol each year....
It's ugly. Period.
(And I suspect... just a wee bit pathological.)
